Mark O’Callaghan - Associate Tutor/Assessor

After retiring from the Metropolitan Police after 30 years of service, Mark joined the Police Crime Prevention Academy in June 2018 as an associate trainer.

Formerly an experienced crime prevention and designing out crime practitioner, Mark re-trained whilst on retirement and now holds qualifications in teaching, training and assessment, as well as being qualified to assess competence in the workplace environment.


His overall objective is to enhance the quality of training and assessment provided by the Police Crime Prevention Academy to the police service and professional partners. Mark assists in the construction and delivery of crime prevention, designing out crime and problem solving training for a range of professional roles.
