Devon and Cornwall PCSOs undertake Introduction to Crime Prevention qualification

A group of 24 PCSOs from Devon and Cornwall have completed the initial two days of learning towards the Level 3 Introduction to Crime Prevention qualification.

This will enable them to build their knowledge and skills to be able to deliver crime prevention advice across the two counties. The Academy worked with the Force Crime Reduction Lead for Devon and Cornwall Police to ensure that the content reflected local issues to support the delegates in making links to their own experiences and identify work-based evidence that they could use.  Delivery of the 2-day classroom phase was in person at Bodmin Police Station demonstrating the ability of the Academy to meet local requirements.
