Academy welcomes Level 5 Designing Out Crime Delegates

In one of the most well-subscribed deliveries since moving to qualifications in September 2018, the Academy welcomed 23 delegates to the national Level 5 Designing Out Crime Diploma.  Delegates include 13 new police designing Out Crime officers (DOCOs) representing police forces across the UK, as well as others from public and private sectors.   

The Academy developed this Diploma with police specialists, and it has been independently accredited by the awarding body ProQual, and registered with OFQUAL.  As a national vocational qualification, it allows delegates to complete the qualification as part of their role and use work-based examples to achieve the qualification without the requirement for academic referencing. It is designed to provide access and support for all learners.  The Academy also has the unique link to the Secured by Design initiative which underpins a unit of the Level 5 qualification as well as the Park Mark Safer Parking initiative.
