Worcestershire County Council support Sanctuary & Surveying event

The Public Health department of Worcestershire County Council supported an inaugural CPD event in December 22 for domestic violence practitioners from across the six district councils within the county boundary as well as from relevant partner agencies.

The event, which was delivered in person by an Academy trainer, focused on how to take a systematic approach to looking at residential properties, and the application of the Secured by Design Sanctuary scheme. 

The Designing Out Crime Officers from West Mercia Police were also involved in the delivery to ensure that local police policies were accurately reflected in the content and to answer any questions about specific local issues.  Each practitioner received a CPD certificate for their own records.
