Accessing the accredited Level 5 designing out crime qualification

A Designing Out Crime Officer (DOCO) from South Wales has become the latest DOCO to use the Academy to convert their existing designing out crime course to the accredited Level 5 designing out crime qualification.

Since it developed and launched the Level 5 qualification in September 2018, the Academy has now supported over 100 DOCOs both as distance learning candidates or direct entry candidates on the national deliveries in achieving the recognised qualification for the DOCO role. The Academy facilitates a distance learning route for DOCOs, Crime Prevention Design Advisers (CPDAs) or Architectural Liaison Officers (ALOs) that removes the requirement to complete a classroom phase and which enables the use of evidence from the previous three years towards achieving the Level 5 qualification.
