Achieving with the Academy

South Yorkshire Police have become the latest Home Office force to enable a Designing Out Crime Officer to achieve the accredited Level 5 qualification with the Academy.

The South Yourksire Police delegate joins two colleagues who have already achieved this qualification with the Academy, and they join a growing number of DOCOs that the Academy has been privileged to support in achieving the designing out crime qualification both as direct entrants and through a distance learning pathway that recognises prior experience and learning.

The Home Office forces and other organisations who have achieved the accredited level 5 Diploma in Crime Prevention-Designing Out Crime qualification through the Academy include: Lancashire; Essex; Metropolitan Police; Hampshire; Gloucestershire; Cheshire; Kent; Humberside; Dorset; North Yorkshire; Surrey; Warwickshire; Cambridgeshire; South Wales; North Wales; Suffolk; Merseyside; Dyfed-Powys; West Mercia; Police Service of Northern Ireland; British Transport Police; Bromsgrove and Redditch Council; Stockton on Tees Council; University of Oxford; Natural History Museum.
